Since 2010, the Golden State Salmon Association has led the fight to restore California salmon for their economic, recreational, commercial, environmental, cultural, and health values. Our growing organization comprises highly motivated and passionate individuals, as well as a coalition that includes commercial and recreational salmon fishermen and women, related businesses, restaurants, Native American tribes, conservationists, elected officials, families, and communities that rely on salmon.
Executive Director
The Golden State Salmon Association is seeking a full-time Executive Director to lead the organization’s operations, policy advocacy, communications, fundraising, and strategic planning.
GSSA’s mission is to restore California salmon for their economic, recreational, commercial, environmental, cultural, and health values. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, consultants, partners, donors, decision-makers, fishing communities, and advocates to advance that mission.
Ideal candidates will bring strong leadership, fundraising, communications, advocacy, and organizational management experience, along with a passion for salmon, California water policy, and the communities that depend on healthy salmon runs.
Compensation range: $135,000–$170,000, depending on experience.
