800 pounds of fresh crab cleaned, cooked, and cracked on site starting at 8:00 am

San Rafael, CA — The Golden State Salmon Association will cook, clean, and crack some 800 pounds of crab for its annual fundraiser Saturday, February 14, from 12 to 3 pm. The feast will occur at the Marin Rod and Gun Club in San Rafael. The Valentine’s Day afternoon event brings together fishermen and women, local community members,  conservation supporters and the general crab-eating public for fresh food, local beverages, a lively raffle to support salmon recovery efforts across California.

All are invited to a Valentine’s Day celebration benefiting California salmon recovery

All Dungeness crab is cleaned and cooked on site the morning of the event, less than 24 hours out of the water. In addition to all-you-can-eat fresh local crab, diners will be served garlic noodles, cheesy sourdough, and a seasonal green salad. Local beer, wine, and non alcoholic beverages are included with each ticket.

“The goal is to create an event that serves the best local Dungeness crab and feels relaxed and welcoming, whether you come with friends, reserve a table, or show up on your own,” said GSSA’s VP of Operations and Engagement, Cat Kaiser. “It’s a great way to bring people together while supporting salmon.”

Proceeds from the event support GSSA’s work to restore abundant, consistent salmon runs and protect the rivers salmon need to survive. The Marin Rod and Gun Club offers ample parking and an easy location for guests traveling from around the Bay Area.

Individual tickets and tables for eight are available. For tickets and additional information, visit https://goldenstatesalmon.salsalabs.org/2026CrabFeed/index.html
